Manually operated event reporting device (NG24) with at least one button switch (BTN),which can take at least two states (0, I) and a selection switch (RTW),at least three states (P0, P1, P2,...,(P11) may take one with the switches (BTN) marked by the event reporting device (NG24); RTW) has a connected evaluation unit (MCU) which is activated by a control action (WKUP) on at least one (BTN) of the switches by the status and/or status changes of the switches (BTN); RTW) evaluates, with the evaluation unit (MCU) evaluating at least one (BTN) of the switch whose status changes are based on a time interval (T) that is within a range of 100 ms to 2 seconds,and that the evaluation unit (MCU) produces an event message (EMSG) for transmission to a network node (GTW) for an event-related service by means of the evaluated states and/or changes in states.
