The invention relates to a carpooling management system making it possible to manage carpoolers wishing to accomplish at least two journeys made successively, the system using a database designed to collect the profiles of the carpoolers for each of the at least two journeys, the profiles comprising at least at least two statuses, driver or passenger. The system assigns points to carpoolers for each of the at least two journeys and includes means to ensure that the sum of the points acquired by each carpooler at the end of his second journey is between a first and a second value. The invention makes it possible to take advantage of the recurring nature, for drivers and passengers, of certain types of carpooling (for example, home-work carpooling). Its use via a mobile application allows a simplification and optimization of this type of carpooling, and therefore its democratization.
