A sorting method for a pre-positioned sorting system and a sorting system. The pre-positioned sorting system comprises at least two shelves (1), a sorting mechanism (2) being provided between two adjacent shelves, and each shelf being provided with at least one circulation box (3) for containing commodities. The sorting method for the pre-positioned sorting system comprises: splitting an order and distributing order splitting information to a sorting mechanism; and the sorting mechanism sorting commodities in a circulation box on a shelf to a designated position according to the order splitting information, and the sorting mechanism completing the sorting of the commodities on at least one order each time.
