The present invention relates to a casino gaming table intrusion detection system comprising: one or more intrusion sensors; one or more intrusion sensor microcontrollers; one or more notification members; and one or more notification member microcontrollers. The intrusion sensor microcontrollers are configured to read one of the one or more intrusion sensors upon receipt of an intrusion sensor activation signal; stop reading the one or more intrusion sensors upon receipt of an intrusion sensor deactivation signal; and transmit, to the notification microcontroller, indicative of an intrusion and a detection, a detection signal in response to an intrusion. The notification member microcontrollers are configured to receive the detection signal, and are further configured to actuate the one or more notification members at the receipt of the intrusion detection signal so as to provide an alert to a user of the intrusion. The present invention aims to provide a means of detecting when a player cheats that does not require the use of an expensive surveillance team to constantly monitor the goings-on in the casino.
