In a first aspect, the present invention relates to a method for determining the treatment strategy or the treatment regimen of individuals afflicted with a chronic disease associated with chronic inflammation and/or associated with expansion of suppressor cells comprising the step of determining various parameters and, based on said parameters, determining the strategy of resolving said chronic disease based on the perturbation of the state of chronicity. In a further aspect, a computer programme product and a computer programme storage medium containing said computer programme product is provided allowing to perform a method according to the present invention. Finally, an apparatus comprising said computer readable storage medium with the computer programme for carrying out the method according to the present invention is provided.
