METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DYNAMICALLY MANAGING ACCESS PRIORITY OF VIRTUAL MACHINE TENANTS TO SERVICE OR HOST

The present invention discloses a method and system for dynamically managing access priority of virtual machine, VM, tenants to a service or host. The method comprises the steps of identifying any of the VM tenants having requested for a same service or host thereby assigning the any of the VM tenants to one or more VM tenant groups; establishing a metric hierarchy for the VM tenants and the one or more VM tenant groups thereof; establishing a threshold attribute framework as an alternative determinator to the metric hierarchy thereof; and determining a service priority level for each of the VM tenants and the one or more VM tenant groups based on the metric hierarchy or the threshold attribute framework established thereof. Unlike the conventional, the present invention emphasizes resource allocation to the VM tenants based on predefined criteria and not based on a first come, first served basis.
