The biometric detection of the fingerprint is provided by a flexible sensor 3, wherein one or more positioning members 31a, 31b, 52, 72 of the sensor 3 are capable of capturing a rolled-equivalent fingerprint for a finger. At least a part is moved to conform to the shape of the finger 9 disposed along the sensor 3. Such one or more positioning members 31a, 31b, 52, 72 enable the sensor 3 to capture images of rolled-equivalent fingerprints without rotation or shaking of the finger relative to the sensor, such that the sensing elements of the sensor when enabled. In order to conform to the finger 9, the sensor 3 is moved so that the sensor 3 is wound around the front surface of the finger 9 at least along an area extending between the right side and the left side of the nail 9a of the finger 9.
