A multi-task interface management method and an electronic device, relating to the field of terminal technology, being applicable to an artificial intelligence (AI) terminal, implementing quick switching of application programs and simplifying user operations. Said method comprises: a display interface of an electronic device being provided with a task area, and in response to a preset operation, the electronic device determining the priority order of one or more application programs (S101), wherein the one or more application programs comprise application programs currently running on the electronic device, and the preset operation comprises: an unlocking operation, an operation of switching to a desktop, or an operation of clicking a task area start button; and the electronic device displaying, according to the priority order of the one or more application programs, icons of the one or more application programs in the task area according to a preset rule (S102).
