Provided is a novel technique for more efficiently producing emulsion particles each containing a single minute particle. The present technology provides a minute particle collection method used in a minute particle-aliquoting mechanism having a flow path structure including a main flow path through which minute particles flow, a collection flow path in which to-be-collected particles among said minute particles are collected, a connection flow path that connects the main flow path to the collection flow path, and a liquid supply flow path that is connected to the connection flow path so that a liquid can be supplied thereto, the method comprising: a flowing step for passing a flow of a first liquid containing minute particles in the main flow path; a determination step for determining whether or not the minute particles flowing in the main flow path are particles to be collected; and a collection step for collecting the particles to be collected into the collection flow path. In the collection step, the particles to be collected are collected into a second liquid that is immiscible with the first liquid, in the collection flow path, with the particles to be collected contained in the first liquid.
