PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appearance inspection apparatus, an appearance inspection method, and a tablet printing apparatus capable of suppressing reflection of a reflected light source when inspecting a surface defect. SOLUTION: In a tablet printing device P, the A side of a tablet supplied from a tablet feeding device is printed by an A side printing device 7 provided in the vicinity of a first transport drum 2, and the quality of the printed state is determined. It is inspected by the A-side visual inspection device 6.
