The invention relates to a device (1) for the attenuation of an oceanic gravity wave, installed in a marine environment and comprising, - at least one movable member (6) in rotation about an axis (A), capable of be moved in rotation and alternately in two opposite directions of rotation, under the effect of said gravity wave, - attenuation means (20) capable of slowing down the rotation of the movable member (6) around its axis (A), - at least one porous member (16) located downstream of said movable member (6) relative to the general direction of propagation (D) of the gravity wave, said porous member (16) allowing circulation seawater through said porous member (16).
