To provide a moving body image display device and a method thereof for improving a display mode in the case of displaying images of the rear of a vehicle with no mirror in a moving body.SOLUTION: A display capable of performing two-dimensional display is mounted so as to be visible on a moving object, and a range to be displayed on the display is imaged as a color image, and a distance to an object existing in the range and a region occupied by the object are detected.
