Disclosed are a preparation method and application of an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene composite membrane. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) modifying ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, specifically, after the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is blended with a modifier, making the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene into granular modified ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene by means of melting; and (2) carrying out co-extrusion on the modified ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with a thermoplastic elastomer material and/or a transition layer material to form a membrane. According to the size information of a high-altitude wind power blade, the composite membrane is attached manually or mechanically to the wind power blade, and hot-press welding is conducted on a joint after membrane attaching is completed. The composite membrane disclosed in the present invention can realize full-coating protection of the wind power blade, protects the wind power blade from being damaged by dirt and rain erosion during the service period thereof, and has good weather resistance.
