A composite yarn and a fabric prepared therefrom. The composite yarn is composed of filaments (1, 2) and short fiber bundles, wherein the latent torque direction of the filaments is opposite to the twist direction of the composite yarn. The composite yarn has a stable core-spun shape and has features such as better elongation elasticity. The fabric prepared therefrom has good elastic properties, and the short fiber cotton type has a strong feel and good appearance quality.
