The present invention relates to a method and device for monitoring cardiopulmonary function using electrical impedance tomography, and more specifically, to a method and system for monitoring cardiopulmonary function using electrical impedance tomography, whereby lung collapse and hyperinflation are monitored in real time during a mechanical ventilation treatment process by using one monitoring device, and information on a plurality of hemodynamic diagnostic variables changing in real time during the mechanical ventilation treatment process may be provided. The present invention enables selective electrical impedance tomography of blood vessels at any body part such as the chest, neck, arms, legs, etc., and enables monitoring of hemodynamic diagnostic variables including stroke volume, cardiac output, peripheral vascular resistance, etc. In addition, the present invention enables real-time monitoring of condition variables, including lung compliance data, delayed breathing data, etc., for each lung region by using the same monitoring device.
