The present invention relates to a method for generating a short-time summary image from an original video image. In the present invention, a summary image is generated on the basis of dynamic objects appearing in an original image, wherein a plurality of objects, appearing in the same time zone in the original image, are made to appear together in the same time zone in the summary image as well. Therefore, the present invention can easily recognize the relation between objects appearing in an event when the event occurs.
