We describe a robotic device control system (100) comprising: a radio base station (106) for wireless communication with a robotic device (116); a beamforming controller (110) coupled or integral to the radio base station (106) for controlling beamforming between the radio base station (106) and the robotic device (116); and a robotic device controller (114) coupled to the beamforming controller (110), wherein the robotic device controller (114) is configured to control the robotic device (116) via the radio base station (106); wherein the robotic device control system (100) is configured to provide an instruction, derived by the robotic device control system (100) based on radio beam propagation information of the wireless communication between the radio base station (106) and the robotic device (116), to the beamforming controller (110) for controlling beamforming between the radio base station (106) and the robotic device (116).
