PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method and a continuous casting apparatus for copper or a copper alloy. According to the present invention, a molten metal obtained by heating and melting electrolytic copper in a melting furnace is stored in a tundish, and the molten metal is injected into a mold through the tundish to continuously cast copper or a copper alloy. In the continuous casting method of, the molten metal level of the tundish is detected by the molten metal level meter, and the amount of the electrolytic copper charged into the melting furnace is adjusted according to the detection result by the molten metal level meter.
