PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means capable of recovering a zinc compound from sludge containing a zinc compound at low cost by a simple device or process. SOLUTION: A zinc compound recovery device S includes a sludge filtration device 1, a drying device 2, a hydrochloric acid mixing device 3, a sludge slurry filtering device 4, a concentrating device 5, a concentrated liquid filtering device 6, an alkali mixing device 7, and a precipitate. It has a slurry filtration device 8. The sludge filtration device 1 filters zinc-containing sludge. The drying device 2 performs a drying process on the cake of the sludge filtration device 1. The hydrochloric acid mixing device 3 mixes dilute hydrochloric acid with the dry sludge. The filtration device 4 filters the slurry of the hydrochloric acid mixing device 3. The concentrator 5 concentrates the filtrate of the filtration device 4. The filtration device 6 filters the concentrated liquid of the concentrating device 5. The alkali mixing device 7 adds sodium hydroxide to the filtrate of the filtration device 6 to produce zinc hydroxide.
