PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roughening construction method capable of more reliably securing a shear strength of a joint portion between an existing concrete and a reinforced concrete, which is expected in design. SOLUTION: In a roughening construction method in which a sheer key 4 recessed in a large number of cylindrical shapes is formed on a construction surface 1a of an existing concrete 1 in which concrete is additionally cast, the existing concrete 1 and the additional concrete 2 are joined. The shear strength required for the part 3 was calculated, the combination of the diameter, depth and number of arrangements of the shear key 4 satisfying the calculated shear strength was obtained, and the diameter and depth of the shear key 4 were set within a preset allowable range. Under the conditions, the number of arrangements of the shear keys 4 satisfying the above combination is calculated. Then, the diameter and the depth are set within the permissible range, and the calculated number of shear keys 4 are formed on the construction surface 1a. [Selection diagram] Fig. 2
