The invention concerns a sound transmitter (1) for an acoustic sensor (10) comprising an interface (2),for voltage pulses (3),to be permanently transmitted via a voltage supply of the acoustic sensor (10), whereby the acoustic sensor (1) converts the voltage pulse (3) into mechanical vibrations and the acoustic sensor (1) is so arranged in the acoustic sensor (10), that the mechanical vibrations are recorded by a microphone (4) of the acoustic sensor (10) to check a signal output of the microphone (4) depending on the voltage pulses (3). Furthermore, the invention concerns a computing unit (5) and a microphone verification process (4),an acoustic sensor (10) and an automated vehicle (F).
