The invention concerns an underwater discharge device with a base frame that can be deposited on a watercourse, at least one discharge unit, which is vertically adjustable to the base frame and is designed to remove soil material from the surface of the water at an initial discharge position and at least one transport container, which is trained to absorb deposited soil material and is fitted to the basic framework for the transport of deposited soil material. According to the invention,that at least one unit of deduction at the base frame is adjustable in a first horizontal direction to at least one second position of deduction which is different from the first position of deduction and in which a further deduction of soil material is feasible. Furthermore, the invention concerns a process for removing soil material with the underwater discharge device.
