A method, system, and device for wireless communications that support splitting of resources between different types of control information and uplink data for transmission over uplink shared channels is described.The base station may send permission to indicate the resource element (RE) of the uplink shared channel assigned to the user device (UE) for uplink transmission.The UE may process the permission and split the allowed re between different types of uplink control information (UCI) and uplink data based on the reference payload size.The UE may generate uplink transmission based on re splitting and may transmit uplink transmission during re of the uplink shared channel shown during the permit.The base station may monitor re of uplink shared channels for uplink transmission in accordance with splitting of multiple re.
