The invention relates to a tubular reinforcing element (1) which is formed in the form of a lattice from a continuously arranged, crossing yarn (2), wherein the crossing portions (3) of the at least one yarn (2) are interconnected by a cross-connection. According to the invention, the cross-connection of the yarn (2) is achieved by a material means or a mechanical means, wherein the means determines the shear elasticity of the cross-connection, the elasticity during the opposed rotative pivoting movement of the crossing portions (3) around their crossing point in the cross-connection, and hence determines the extensibility of the reinforcing element (1) in the direction of a longitudinal axis, wherein a higher shear elasticity is accompanied by a higher extensibility. The invention also relates to a method for producing the tubular reinforcing element (1) by weaving, braiding or winding the lattice structure from a yarn (2). Further aspects of the invention relate to a global reinforcement, to the use of a reinforcing element, to a concrete structural part and to a program file.
