Finally, it relates to a Terminalia catappa extract for use in treating and/or preventing a decrease in the growth of keratin fibres, preferably of the hair, and/or an increase in the loss of keratin fibres, preferably of the hair, associated with a disorder, in particular alopecia, preferably senile or androgenetic alopecia, telogen effluvium or alopecia areata.
