PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a reagent for measuring a sterol uptake ability of a lipoprotein with higher reproducibility. Labeled sterols in the presence of compounds containing hydrocarbon chains with at least one carbon-carbon unsaturated bond (but excluding sterols) and / or saturated aliphatic compounds without phosphodiester bonds. The above-mentioned problems are solved by preparing a lipoprotein incorporating the above-mentioned substance and measuring the uptake ability of the labeled sterol of the lipoprotein.
