FIELD: electrochemistry; corrosion protection.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrochemical corrosion protection of extended objects with the help of cathodic protection stations (hereinafter – CPS). In the claimed method, numbers of all points of connection of the pipeline with CPS and all points of connection of the pipeline with control and measuring points (hereinafter – CMP) are entered in software of CPS controllers and software of control center controller. The minimum permissible values of the protective potential in the pipeline sections is set, which are necessary to ensure the cathodic protection of these sections from corrosion, taking into account the dimensions and material of the pipes and the geological conditions of their location. The value of the protective potential, output voltage and output current at the points of connection of the pipeline with the CPS and CMP are measured. The corrosion rate is measured on the CMP using a corrosion rate sensor located in the ground with a reference electrode. Information about the measurement results is transmitted to the controllers of the CPS control units and to the controller of the control center. After analyzing the measurement results, the connection points are identified where the value of the protective potential on the pipeline is lower than the set permissible value. Automatic redistribution of the protective potential values in the pipeline sections is carried out, and the protective potential value is automatically increased to the set permissible value in the sections with the protective potential below the permissible one.;EFFECT: increased efficiency of the corrosion protection system, improved manufacturability of the pipeline condition monitoring and its protection, reduced energy consumption of the pipeline protection process.;1 cl, 2 dwg
