The present invention relates to a method for determining a base load profile (11) of a household electrical network (3), comprising the steps:(a) initializing a memory (12) with a sequence of measurement times (t k) distributed over a time window (W r) and in each case an associated reference conductance value (S k);(B) feeding a measuring signal (A) in a consumer terminal (8) at a measuring time (t k) and detecting a signal response (E);(c) determining a guide value (G k) associated with the measurement instant (t k) from the detected signal response (E);(d) reading out the reference conductance (S k) of the measurement instant (tk) from the memory (12) and comparing the conductance (G k) with the reference conductance (S k) and, when falling below, replacing the Referenzleitwerts (S k) by the Conductance (G k) in the memory (12);(e) repeating steps (b) to (d) for each of a further measurement time (t k + 1) of the sequence; and(f) repeating steps (b) through (e) for at least one additional time window (W r + 1).
