The invention relates to a one-component moisture curing composition and to a method for sealing construction joints against penetration of water. The one-component moisture curing composition comprises at least one isocyanate-functional polyurethane polymer, at least one inorganic swelling agent selected from the group consisting of aluminum sulfate and magnesium sulfate, and at least one hydrophilic aldimine of formula (I).
