A process for the operation of a powder radiator which is suitable for dental and/or implant treatment, with the powder radiator (16)(b) in separate reservoirs (4-7) has several powders (x1-x4) having at least several different degrees of hardness and/or grain sizes and/or different therapeutic effects;(b1) a control module (14) to apply a medium pressure to the powder of a gaseous or liquid transport medium (i, ii); or(b2) a powder dosing unit (14) for the dosing of a single powder (x1-x4) or for the mixing of a powder mixture of several powders (x1+x3, x1+x4); the procedure is characterized by the following steps:A Provide multiple selectable modes of operation (A1, A2, t1, t2), for each mode of operation (A1, A2, t1, t2) a set of limit values for the selection of a powder (x1-x4) or a powder mixture (x1+x3, x1+x4) comprising several of the powder (x1-x4) and/or the type of transport medium (i, ii);B selecting one of the modes of operation (A1, A2, t1, t2); andC provide a powder (x1-x4) or a powder mixture (x1+x3, x1+x4) and a transport medium (i, ii), selecting the type of powder (x1-x4) and the transport medium (i, ii) depending on the selected mode of operation (A1, A2, t1, t2), preferably patient-specific; andD to provide the pre-defined powder and/or powder mixture at least at one outlet of the powder emitter;and a powder blasting device.
