Vehicle personalisation procedures/systems for applying personalised settings to vehicle functionality and for applying personalised settings by multiple passengers in one vehicle to their individual position in the vehicle and according to stored preferences. The procedures/systems offer a selection of multi-user profiles, using the following: (1) Keyless multi-user profile selection; (2) biometric multi-user profile selection and/or a combination of multi-modal technologies for {Keyless,biometric} Multi-user profile selection. The revealed procedures/systems combine several available sensors to solve the following complementary tasks: (1) Recognize the presence of a person, (2) carry out a rough classification of the inmates (e.g. driver vs. passenger; child vs. adolescent/adult),(3) Locate the seating position of the identified occupants and (4) identify a particular user.
