It aims at providing the novel compound which can provide low cure shrinkage, suppressing the fall of the hardness (abrasion resistance) of the cured film obtained from a resin composition. A silsesquioxane derivative having a radical polymerizable functional group represented by formula (1), formula (2), or formula (3). In the formulas (1) to (3), R1 is independently selected from alkyl having 1 to 45 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl having 4 to 8 carbon atoms, aryl having 6 to 14 carbon atoms, and arylalkyl having 7 to 24 carbon atoms. R 2 and R 3 are groups independently selected from alkyl having 1 to 10 carbons, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl and phenyl, and X is independently hydrogen or a monovalent organic group. And at least one of X is a radically polymerizable functional group represented by the formula (4).
