PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide that prevents a photocatalyst particle from peeling off.;SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 10 has a core 11, a polymeric cladding 12 that covers the core, and a plurality of photocatalyst particles 15 added to the cladding.
