Provided is a use of piceatannol in preparing a drug for preventing and treating neurodegenerative diseases. Relative to the prior art, using piceatannol, which has high biological activity and low biological toxicity, in the field of preventing and treating neurodegenerative diseases, achieves an excellent effect. In one aspect, the invention preserves the advantages of piceatannol, and in another aspect, because piceatannol is an existing natural product, additional development costs are not needed, and raw materials are easily obtained. Therefore, the invention is suitable for use in further development and intensive study.
