This float glass production device has a heat-treating furnace equipped with: a dross box; a slow-cooling furnace; a first partition which is provided between lift-out rolls on a lowermost downstream location in the conveyance direction of a glass ribbon and lehr rolls on an uppermost upstream side in the conveyance direction, and which is disposed at the bottom of the heat-treating furnace; and a second partition which is disposed above the first partition and which is situated opposite the first partition across a conveyance passage through which the glass ribbon is conveyed. The heat-treating furnace is provided with: a gas discharge nozzle through which sulfur oxide gas is discharged toward the conveyance passage from below the conveyance passage; and a guide member which is disposed on the upstream side of the gas discharge nozzle in the conveyance direction in such a manner as to face one of multiple lehr rolls.
