PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing a polyimide precursor solution by using a solvent safe to human body and easily dissolving a raw material, enabling improvement of working environment in the production process and simplification of production equipment and capable of producing a colorless and transparent polyimide precursor solution at room temperature in a short period of time without heating for a long period of time.SOLUTION: The polyimide precursor solution comprises a polyimide precursor and a solvent. The polyimide precursor is a fluorine-containing polyimide precursor containing a fluorine atom in the structure and the solvent contains a solvent composed of a molecule including a specific structure. The polyimide precursor solution has a viscosity in a constant range and has a YI value of 20 or less as obtained by measuring a polyimide precursor solution having a solid concentration of 15 wt% by a quartz cell having a thickness of 10 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
