PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enabling predictive coding modes in a screen and between screens to be selected together by extending a predictive coding selection system in the screen or between screens to sub-divided blocks of blocks divided during video coding, and also to provide a recording medium for implementing the same.SOLUTION: An input screen is divided into coding unit blocks (S103). The coding unit blocks are divided into low-order blocks (S107). The low-order blocks are encoded by selectively using one or more of predictive coding in the screen and the predictive coding between screens (S111, S112).
