FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Proposed is a method for assessing the susceptibility of a baby to whooping cough during the first months of life. Determined is the content of immunoglobulin G to the whooping cough pathogen in the venous blood of the woman in the third trimester of pregnancy. When antibodies are detected at a concentration below 14 U/ml, the baby’s susceptibility to whooping cough from birth is predicted. When the concentration of antibodies is above the protective level of 18 U/ml, the baby’s insusceptibility to said infection for 1.5 months is predicted. With a woman’s antibody titer in blood being 45 U/ml, which exceeds the protective one by 2.5 times, the baby will be immune to whooping cough during the first 3 months of life.;EFFECT: invention enables effective forecasting of susceptibility of a baby to whooping cough during the first months of life.;1 cl
