The present invention relates generally to the growth of bacteria. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for adapting anaerobic microorganisms to an oxidative environment and their use in developing new probiotics. In particular, the present invention provides a method for adaptation of anaerobic microorganisms and screening anaerobic microorganisms that are more resistant to oxygen, and the method provides a stepwise double induction of oxidative stress through applied voltage and oxygen diffusion, and to adjust the redox state. And culturing the microorganism with a stepwise change in an antioxidant/oxidized counterpart concentration ratio for. New strains are also provided.
