PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanocomposite particle having water repellency and oil repellency or lipophilicity, and a method for producing the same; a column filler and a filter usable for oil and water separation using the nanocomposite particle; a surface treatment agent and a surface treatment method that can impart water repellency and oil repellency or lipophilicity to the surface of a base material to be treated; and a method for producing a nanocomposite particle dispersion liquid.SOLUTION: A nanocomposite particle contains a styrene butadiene copolymer, and a fluorine-containing compound represented by formula (I).
