The invention relates to a method implemented by a computer terminal for assistance in adjusting a mechanism of a mechanical timepiece (10). The method comprises the following steps: i) capturing an image or a sequence of images of the mechanical timepiece (10) by means of computer equipment (20) comprising an image acquisition device (22) and a display area (24); ii) determining the adjustment to be made as a function of said image or sequence of images, and iii) displaying on the display area (24) of the computing device (20) a sequence of instructions for said adjustment of the mechanism.
