The method comprises: acquiring a micro-coded image of the surface of a target printed object (S110); identifying target features and target coding information of the micro-coded image (S120); identifying the target micro-coded image category according to the target coding information (S130); acquiring reference features from a preset reference feature database of a server according to the target micro-coded image category (S140); and outputting an authenticity verification result according to the result of comparison between the target features and the reference features (S150).
