The present application relates to a determining method for optimal arrangement of circular tube supports for a steel silo composite shear wall. The determining method comprises the following steps: designing a set of steel silo composite shear wall models that use a circular tube support arrangement distance, an axial compression ratio, a steel ratio and a height-width ratio as parameters; establishing an ABAQUS finite element model, and considering the impact of initial imperfections; using finite element software ABAQUS for stress analysis to obtain horizontal ultimate bearing capacity; applying a least square method to fit a horizontal ultimate bearing capacity formula of the steel silo composite shear wall; drawing a relation curve between the circular tube support arrangement distance and the horizontal ultimate bearing capacity according to values calculated using the formula; and determining optimal arrangement of circular tube supports by means of critical points of the curve.
