The invention relates to a foldable wallet of leafing material, comprising mutually hinged panels. For this, the edge (5) is set back (D) relative to the edge (6, 7) of the second (24) and third (42) panel and relative to the line fastening (33) at said first edge (6, 7). In the area (E, F) extending at both sides of a central fold line, the wallet is biased to the closed position by tension in panel (21).
