FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry, namely to the use of an aqueous extract of common blueberries as a remedy with cerebroprotective action in case of psychoemotional disorders and decrease in the quality of higher nervous activity. Application of an aqueous extract of common blueberry Vaccinium myrtillus L., obtained by processing crushed to 1-3 mm blueberry shoots, harvested after picking berries, with water at a ratio of raw materials to the extracting solvent 1:10 in a boiling water bath within 30 minutes, followed by cooling to room temperature, filtration and removal of the solvent in a vacuum to dryness, repeating the process twice more, using each time a new portion of the extracting solvent, while the extract as active substances contains 7.6% of hydrolysable tannides, 5.5% of polysaccharides and 2.0% of macro- and microelements, as a remedy with cerebroprotective action in psychoemotional disorders and decrease in the quality of higher nervous activity.;EFFECT: as aforesaid extract is effective as cerebroprotective agent for psychoemotional disorders and decrease in the quality of higher nervous activity.;1 cl, 3 tbl, 4 ex
