The present invention provides a linear motor arrangement for a slicing machine. The linear motor arrangement has two linear motors disposed at secondary units provided on a carrying board of a sliding block, each of the secondary units being assigned with a primary unit. Therefore, the carrying board is sandwiched in between the primary units. The sliding block is guided and supported at least through a linear guiding member in a longitudinally moveable manner. The sliding block may apply a control force to one end of the sliding block, wherein the control force is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the sliding block for operation.
