To provide a method for producing a cement clinker capable of suppressing generation of coating in a method for producing a cement clinker in which release paper from a waste gypsum board is added to a calcination step.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a cement clinker which comprises: a calcination step of calcining a raw material for a cement clinker to produce a cement clinker; and a reduction step of reducing a sulfur component contained in a mixture obtained by mixing release paper from a waste gypsum board and an organic sludge containing anaerobic bacteria for generating hydrogen sulfide from sulfur oxide by fermentation and reducing the water content of the mixture.
