A method and apparatus for removing artificial shading due to metal in a 3D industrial computer tomography imaging technique according to various embodiments aligns CAD data in response to CT data, generates registration data from the aligned CAD data, and provides registration data. Based on, the sinogram surge area corresponding to the metal area is set, and based on the matching data, an average fill-in is performed from the CT data, and the data of the sinogram surge area is displayed using the average fill-in information. It may be configured to update and reconstruct a 3D CT image from the newly replaced sinogram.
