Embodiments of the present application relate to an augmented reality technology-based projection method and projection device (10). The method applied to the projection device (10) comprises: in the early stage, acquiring image information of a real space (20) at first; constructing a three-dimensional virtual space model according to the image information; next, determining an optimal projection area according to the three-dimensional virtual space model; and then projecting a projection object (30) to the optimal projection area to achieve the "seamless" integration of real world information and virtual world information. The present method does not require users to wear complex body-wearing facilities, thus improving user experience.
