Disclosed in the present invention is a battery heat dissipation system for a new energy vehicle, comprising a protective box in which are mounted a plurality of storage batteries, a condensation tube being embedded on an inner wall of the protective box, and the condensation tube being filled with a coolant. A cylinder is rotatably connected on an inner bottom portion of the protective box, a circular recess arranged coaxially with the cylinder being opened on an upper end of the cylinder, and a circular block being sealedly and rotatably connected inside the circular recess. A water intake end and a water output end of the condensation tube both sealedly penetrate the circular block, and a thermal insulation panel is embedded in the cylinder. In the present invention, by means of different heating conditions in chambers on either side of the cylinder, under the action of a thermal expansion solution in the chambers, sliding pistons in the chambers are caused to constantly move up and down, thus driving the coolant in the condensation tube to flow, and thereby rapidly dissipating heat away from inside a battery pack. Meanwhile, because the motion is driven by means of the heat dissipated from the battery pack, the heat dissipation speed in the battery pack is accelerated while at the same time load on the batteries is reduced, thus being able to extend the service life of the batteries.
